Organic Christmas range 2025

The organic Christmas range for 2025 is ready, with a colourful selection of fruit and vegetables from reliable growers worldwide. With a mix of seasonal classics, exotic fruits and citrus specialities, this range offers plenty of opportunities for an attractive and inspiring Christmas display.

The hidden costs of our agriculture

A new report by Deloitte shows that the social damage caused by Dutch agriculture exceeds the economic returns of the sector each year. Commissioned by the Robin Food Coalition and the Food Transition Coalition, Deloitte calculated a negative balance of €5.3 billion per year.

Overseas grape season: excellent quality, tight market

From week 51 onwards – just before the holidays – we will start with the first organic grapes of the new overseas season. Growing conditions in South Africa and Chile are favourable, and the quality is expected to be excellent. Volumes are similar to last year, but demand appears to be around 30% higher – likely resulting in a tight market.

A look behind the scenes at our pomegranate grower Basak Tarim

Our partnership with Basak Tarim, the family business of grower Baris Kocagoz in the Turkish region of Söke, began in the early 2000s. On their 20 hectares of organic land, they grow beautiful Hicaz pomegranates – rich in colour, flavour and antioxidants.

Overseas organic stone fruit season kicks off in week 49

From week 49 onwards, Eosta starts the season for overseas organic stone fruit. In addition to our familiar organic plums, this year we are expanding the range with organic peaches, apricots and nectarcots – all supplied by our grower Pro-Plum Organics in South Africa.

European ginger cultivation on the rise: fresh ginger from Bosnia

For the past three years, Eosta has been involved in cultivation trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina to establish European ginger production. Together with local partner Agrolink, we are working towards a stable, sustainable supply of fresh organic ginger closer to home.
