WADDINXVEEN, Netherlands, 15 December 2025 — Leading organic fresh produce specialist Eosta has announced the arrival of the first volumes of new-season organic South African table grapes, with substantial volumes expected to be available until mid-April 2026. The 2025-26 season includes several new varieties to the organic South African offer with better sizing, shelf-life and overall quality.

The hidden costs of our agriculture

A new report by Deloitte shows that the social damage caused by Dutch agriculture exceeds the economic returns of the sector each year. Commissioned by the Robin Food Coalition and the Food Transition Coalition, Deloitte calculated a negative balance of €5.3 billion per year.

Overseas grape season: excellent quality, tight market

From week 51 onwards – just before the holidays – we will start with the first organic grapes of the new overseas season. Growing conditions in South Africa and Chile are favourable, and the quality is expected to be excellent. Volumes are similar to last year, but demand appears to be around 30% higher – likely resulting in a tight market.
