Sustainable success: Ataulfo Mango from Peru once again transported by boat

Good news for mango lovers! Following last year's success, we are once again transporting our organic Ataulfo Mango from Peru by boat this season. This special mango – loved for its creamy texture and fibre-free, honey-sweet flesh – is a real favourite among connoisseurs.

Good news for mango lovers! Following last year's success, we are once again transporting our organic Ataulfo Mango from Peru by boat this season. This special mango – loved for its creamy texture and fibre-free, honey-sweet flesh – is a real favourite among connoisseurs.

Less CO₂, same quality

Until recently, the Ataulfo Mango was transported exclusively by air due to its delicate nature. Thanks to close cooperation with our growers and logistics partners, we are now able to ship the mango by boat while maintaining its quality. This represents a huge climate gain: CO₂ emissions are reduced by a factor of 30 – from 8.8 kilograms to just 0.3 kilograms per kilogram of mango.

First arrival in early November

The first container will depart at the end of week 42, arriving in the United Kingdom at the beginning of week 45. New shipments will follow every two weeks.

The mango with the taste of the sun

The Ataulfo Mango, also known as honey mango, is small, elegantly shaped and has a deep yellow colour and thin stone. The flesh is creamy, without any noticeable fibres, and is ripened on the tree for optimal flavour.

More sustainable transport, same premium quality

By choosing the per-boat variant of our Ataulfo mango, you are actively contributing to more environmentally friendly transport, while maintaining quality and taste – and saving costs.
