The results show that things are moving. Seven supermarkets have now published concrete climate roadmaps with plans for short-term emission reductions. Two-thirds of supermarkets also explicitly acknowledge their responsibility in the protein transition, for example by reducing the proportion of animal proteins in their sales.
What is the biggest challenge?
At the same time, the benchmark makes it clear where further steps are needed. Only five supermarkets have so far shown an actual reduction in their emissions, while many other retailers' emissions are still rising or are insufficiently transparent. Twenty supermarkets still lack a detailed and public climate plan.
Questionmark's conclusion is clear and constructive: further progress requires clear roadmaps, ambitious targets and measurable emission reductions.

Organic avocado supply from Mexico is building well, with good volumes and availability expected over the coming months. Currently, availability is strongest in the larger calibres [14–18], while smaller calibres are expected to become more available as the season progresses.
