PREMIUM . TASTE . SWEET . CANDY . EUROPE . SEEDLESS . SUMMER . CRUNCHY . TASTE EXPERIENCE . LARGE CALIBER

Last month, Eosta colleagues Robert, Gert and Chris have been visiting existing and new growers in sunny Portugal. Robert would like to share their enthusiasm with you, especially when it comes to the premium grapes. We are in the position to deliver those premium organic grapes from Europe during the summer season, a big hit!

N&M : Did you learn a lot during your trip to Portugal?
Robert:  Yes for sure, in our opinion it is very important you visit your existing and potential Nature & More growers on a regular base. Short lines, into the fields to check on fruit development, what's going on with your grower and what are their developments in sustainability. Besides this is a very nice aspect of our job.

N&M: When you talk about the grapes you have discovered, your eyes sparkle
Robert: Yes, in Portugal we have discovered a range of 7 premium varieties under the grapes. As from week 33 we can guarantee delivery of those grapes, during the summer season! You can taste the sun in the grapes. This production is no cheap mass production but it is all about premium organic quality and taste.

N&M: Explain us your taste experience!
Robert: The taste is so good, so sweet. Especially regarding the varieties Sweet Nectar and Candy Crunch. Honoring their name, supersweet like crunchy melting candy.

N&M: Do you already know when those summer grapes are available?
Robert: Yes, we have enclosed the info sheet + calendar so you as our customer can contact your Eosta account manager and schedule your program as from week 33 on forehand.

Limes

Moroccan limes provide breathing space in a tight organic lime market

Demand for organic fruit continues to grow, and organic limes are no exception. Their popularity is being driven partly by increasing demand for cocktails, mocktails and homemade lemonades, as well as their wider use in salads, curries and other dishes. Consumers are also increasingly choosing citrus grown without synthetic pesticides and without post-harvest fungicide treatment.

Kivinaki

Kivinaki ready for the new Organic Raingrown Oranges season

Ahead of the new organic orange season, our sourcing team visited Kivinaki in Peru. Over the past four years, we have built a successful export programme with this growers’ co-operative. During the visit, we worked together to prepare for the coming months.

Pineapple

Healthy soil makes organic pineapples more resilient

In Costa Rica, too, the effects of climate change are becoming increasingly apparent. Heavy rainfall, in particular, is making organic pineapple cultivation more challenging and requires growers to be adaptable.
