The world is opening up again. Corona taught us that we can work online much more than we thought, and that’s a good thing for the environment. But sometimes you just have to meet in the reality of farming. Our quality manager Gert-Jan Lieffering and product manager Andrea Dijkhuizen went to South America last month, after a long break. There they visited three wonderful growers: mango grower Joe Roman in Ecuador, passion fruit grower Roberto Vargas, and biodynamic grower Jan Bernard in Peru. Gert-Jan Lieffering tells about each grower:

Hello, my name is Rogelio Moreno Salas. We are a Mexican family business focussed on the production of organic avocado and social responsibility. When it comes to avocados, generally speaking the somewhat larger fruits are more popular. As we all know however, an avocado tree is not a factory producing the same sized fruit .. and that is a good thing. Therefore to avoid income losses for our growers and food waste, Eosta is paying some extra attention to the smaller organic avo’s. These avo’s have the same quality, taste and nutritional benefits as their full-sized counterparts.

Eosta / Nature & More launches a video today, which warns the German people for an orange tidal wave, coming from the North Sea, of three million Dutch climate refugees. Seeing that 25% of the Netherlands lies below sea level, Germany should be somewhat worried about rising sea levels. Therefore, Eosta has a voting advice: vote organic.
