Oranges in the spotlight: Navels & Valencia's

After a successful start with Navels, juicy, sweet Valencia's are now arriving. Read on for the latest information on quality, availability and logistics of both varieties. 

Navels: high juice content and quality 

This season's Navels are distinguished by exceptional sweetness and juiciness, with a very high juice content of 50% and brix values between 12 and 14. The high juice content is due to the fact that the oranges have hung on the tree longer to come to colour. Although the oranges still have a green blush, this does not detract from their excellent flavour and juiciness. Fewer volumes of Navels are available in the larger sizes.  

Valencia's: larger sizes 

Of the Valencia's, precisely the larger sizes will be well available, while we will see a slightly lower volume in the smaller sizes. The Valencia's have similar quality to the Navels and we do not expect any deviations in juice content and brix values. 

Logistics and supply 

Valencia's supply is progressing well, and logistical challenges seem to be under control. We expect to meet demand in the coming weeks.
