Current impact of war Gaza and storms on our organic fruit deliveries from Africa and Asia

Situation grape arrivals this weekend
The recent storms, named in Europe as storm Henk and storm Gerrit, like two of our colleagues, have had a significant on the supply of our organic grapes from South Africa. The grapes arrived 2 weeks later than expected. The storms that also raged around the Canary Islands caused an immediate delay in the supply of our South African organic grapes there. The grapes arrive today, but should have been here by Christmas.

Grape deliveries next weeks
In the port of Cape Town now 2 boats have been loaded with fruit for more than 2 weeks, but they cannot leave the port because of the storms there. But also, ships cannot enter the port and there are problems loading boats. This means there will be significantly less grapes for the next 2- 3 weeks.

Avocados and Ginger arrivals delayed
Our avocados from East Africa and ginger from China are also experiencing serious delays. Increasing tensions and conflicts, such as the situation in Gaza, have led to attacks on ships. This has made many shipping companies decide to avoid these routes, posing an additional challenge in our supply chain.
